Kind, Caring and Generous

Birthdays are special days.

Some don’t care to celebrate them.

Me? I sure do.

It’s a day to celebrate you.

It’s a special day dedicated to celebrating those you love most.

It’s a day to acknowledge what a gift life is and how much better our lives have become due to the presence of those in our lives.

Today, I’d like to wish a very happy birthday to a pretty incredible person.

An individual who gives his heart to all he encounters.

An extremely talented individual who remains humble in the midst of our insanity.

An individual who is kind, caring and generous.

A most sweet soul I had the pleasure of meeting last fall, Mr. Boyd Tinsley, violinist of the Dave Matthews Band.

My life has been warmed by the pure goodness that emanates from his heart.

Today I celebrate this kind soul as he celebrates his birthday.

Those that have met him or have had interactions with him will tell you the same… You’d be hard pressed to find another to be as kind, caring or generous than he.

Happy, happy, happy birthday Boyd!

Thoughts for a rainy day

Waking up on the first of many rain filled spring mornings it’s a little refreshing.

Sure, I’d rather the sun be shining but how else will the flowers grow & the grass stay green?

It can be all too easy to moan and groan on days like today. But instead of doing so I encourage you to make your own sunshine.

It’s quite simple to do actually.

Think on the sunny side.

Dance in the rain. Jump in a puddle. Fall asleep to the sound of it coming down.

No matter the day, the reason or season there is always something to celebrate. New life, a new day, a start of something new.

Don’t let yourself get caught up in the dreary, weary weather. Remind yourself that life IS in fact what you make of it. There are many things we complain about that we can control… So do me a favor & do something about it.

If you’re not happy with a situation, ask yourself what can be done about it. Make an effort to make that change. Some are easy, others not so much and others still we have no control over. But in any situation you have the CHOICE to decide how you’ll react & handle things.

Make the choice to focus on the positives. Take the chance to make a change otherwise you’ll be stuck. Look on the sunny side because there is ALWAYS one there… Even if you have to dig deep…

MAKE YOUR OWN SUNSHINE.

Love your life

Don’t let a minute go by without taking a minute to appreciate all that you have.

Live the life you’re given.

Don’t waste time longing for what you don’t have.

There’s a reason you are where you are with what you have. Don’t question it. Don’t over think it.

Just live it.

Just love it.

Live fabulously.

My Piece Of Advice To You

It’s all too easy to let the days slip away and fly by without taking time to fill your heart with love.

Let go of whatever may be holding you back.

Let go of the past. Leave those troubles where they belong… They’ll weigh heavy on your heart.

Let go of regret & grudges as they too will weigh heavy on your heart.

There’s no better time than now to just simply fill your heart with love.

Live life in a loving way.

Fill up your head, fill up your heart.
